12 Days Till Christmas

I can barely believe that Christmas is so close. I keep seeing ads that say things like, "stuck with the last minute shopping? Try ___". Seriously!? I'm all of a sudden reduced to a last minute shopper?! Craaaaap.

I guess I should have figured that. I mean, yesterday was the day I actually finished our advent calendar. That's right. The thing that's supposed to mark the countdown until Christmas. Starting with the 1st? Well, ours started at the halfway mark this year.

I'm completely smitten with it though, so I can't really complain. Of course it's completely empty, but I'm happy that it's red and green and on the wall at this point. I'm trying to pace myself to s l o w l y add to our collection of Christmas decorations. I don't really want to buy tons of stuff but it's also impossible to make everything all in one season, while keeping a job, right? Oh yah, and wedding planning.

Well, tomorrow's Friday and then one week left until school's out for the Holiday! So advent calendar or not, the countdown begins!
