Our "last meal at the old place" was Wangs Kitchen. Our absolute favorite chineese takeout that will no longer be quite as close or convenient
We bought a house!! I was squirming keeping it super quiet, but there were tons of details and tense moments, so we felt way more comfortable not making any huge announcements until it was final. And final it is. I'm so ecstatic.
We were so blessed to have friends and family come to help us move. My sister and I, in true form, scarfed tons of food together during a break in moving, and she fell asleep instantly. I couldn't help but snap the pic. I also can't believe she'll be 17 in about 2 months. Holy. Crap.
The house projects have started! Hubs was excellently patient with my obsessive talk about open shelving which was then followed by obsessive measuring. Also, he got to use the power tools. Yippee!! (I can't wait to finish the kitchen so that I can show some before and afters!
This. Is. Happening. Turns out T had never been to the melting pot! I am so excited, I'm not sure if it's nationwide or not, but we needed an excuse for a date night!
What an excellent week it has been. Whirlwind of moving and adjusting and living in a bit of chaos, but excellent nonetheless. This weekend we are headed to the beach to squeeze in one last bit of warmth before winter comes at us full force, and to celebrate a friend's birthday, hooray! We're going prepared with lots of cider and fun adult "mix-ins". I know that I've seen a ton of "where did the warm go?!" lately, but I have to be honest. I'm so excited for cold and drizzly and all that it brings! I feel like this trip will give us one last hoorah, but I'm seriously so pumped for winter. (As soon as I publish this the jinxing forces of the world will likely give us 20ft of snow and I'll regret my famous last words, ha!)
I hope everyone has a great weekend! We made it to Friday, can you believe it?!
Linking up with Jeannett and LaurenElizabeth. Want to follow me in real time!? You can find me on twitter and instagram. (I'm lconnell10) I'm thinking that there will slowly be a shift from all food all the time to food + house-ness. And I'm so excited.
